October Goodwill Haul

Alright, so I know it’s a little late, but I’ve been pretty busy and it has been hectic around my house. So many things! Now… the current, but short disaster: My internet service has been a gremlin and so now I am using my phone to post things temporarily. I won’t have actual  internet for all devices until this Saturday around 1 to 3 p.m. from a new internet service because the other provider sucks.  AT&T is the new one so hopefully they will be better. Cross your fingers pretty please.  Thank you. 😘

Okay moving on from rant to get to the good stuff! 🤗😆😊😁😃😄

OH My Gosh , I hear Sia’s song “Clap your hands” in my head right now. 👏🙆

YOU GUYS !!!! When I went to the Goodwill I just went to look for some pants because I needed some, but I didn’t expect to find the cutest thing during the Halloween month! (Now remember I found all these items last month. Don’t slap my wrist now, you’ll love what I found.)

👻👿🕸🕷💀

Look at it ! Just look at it !!

Isn’t it the best? It’s so perfect for Halloween, it’s got the kitty, the ghostie, the potion, spell book, hat,and more! This is the October edition Ipsy makeup bag. Now if you don’t know this, Ipsy is a company that you subscribe to online. This is where you can pick out what type of makeup you like and they will send you name brands of what you like every month in a new bag for the same price every month . It is a fabulous service that my mom and I used to have, but we stopped using it, because we moved then never started ordering it again. I still use the makeup, because it lasts a long time and it is always different, the makeup bags are always different too.

Oh! I just love it !! So when I saw this at the Goodwill I was excited, because I didnt have this version of a makeup bag. I use these little bags for all kinds of things like for an organizer in my purse or sometimes as a coin purse or wallet. Or I put Office supplies in it i.e. paper clips and my blog business cards and pens and pencils. They’re so useful!

I love when I find unexpected little treasures. So the next thing I found was a paperback book with a lovely cover. So pretty! I was really excited when I saw this book and I couldn’t wait to see what it was about. It is actually about two Napa Valley family rivals in the wine business that end up merging, but there are some deadly secrets in the mix and everyone is fighting for dominance. Which family has the deadly secrets? Or is it both and who will unearth them???  😍🍇🍷

What Reviewers Are Saying About “The Villa” :

“[Roberts]…renders the Napa Valley so clearly, with so much affection, that at times you’d swear The Villa is illustrated…an intelligent, fast-paced story.”

-The Minneapolis Star Tribune

“Rich in emotion and rife with conflict…this sweeping saga of Northern California wine- making steeps the reader in a heady mix of sex, scandal and the excesses of the supremely wealthy. ”

– Publishers Weekly

The last treasure I found was another book.  Ha ha! I know… I’m so naughty. More books do the soul good. That’s what I like to say to myself and people who don’t read and just “don’t get it”. Now when you see the cover and read what it’s about you’ll know why I got THIS one. Plus Halloween appropriate!  Woohoo!!! Go team ! 🏁🏳🏴🚩

This book is a hardback and is about a young magician who is accused of a murder he didn’t commit. His DNA is on the victim, but he’s never even met her, now he must vindicate himself even though the odds are stacked against him. What is real and what is an illusion here? Well, he must find out…and who is the killer? 🕵💋💀

What Reviewers Are Saying

“Every great mystery has a murder. But none of them has a magician moonlighting as a substitute  teacher who wears his sequined jacket to solve the case. The Amazing Harvey is just like the Amazing Paaaman: a gifted magician destined to entertain.”

– Brad Meltzer, New York Times  Bestselling  Author Of The First Counsel and The Millionaires

“The suspense crackles like a high- voltage wire and the tension is palpable.”

– RT Book Reviews On The Visionary
