How cool would it be to find yourself living inside your favorite video game?
Wait. What? No.
When the monsters you battle become real, so too does the pain.
You’re going to get hungry, thirsty…and hey, just where are you going to sleep tonight?
Imagine combining very real needs in a world that you must battle monsters and villains simply to stay alive. Three strangers find themselves trapped inside a fantasy world. Each must complete a quest where they will be left with the choice of returning to their miserable lives, or stay and become a part of the magical world of Ashtelon.
But wait…it’s not so simple as that. (It never is.)
A low-level NPC decides he’s tired of the monotony of his life and will do anything to escape. Then he learns of a ring that will grant the bearer access to the real world, where he can live as a king. In order to do that, he needs to use every bit of magic at his disposal to bring the unsuspecting into his world.
Meanwhile…An elite knight, Dareyou, who everyone thought was just another player, needs the help of her newfound friends. When she refuses to aid an evil dryad, he puts a curse on her. But wait! One more thing…her subscription is nearly over. Once that happens, what will become of her? Will she cease to exist or be forever trapped in this world.
Together the friends fight to not only get Dareyou home, but to keep the evil from escaping the fantasy realm. In order to do that, they’ll need help from both outside players and NPC’s. But wait, how? Ever talk to an NPC? No? Because you can’t. Now you see the real dilemma.

You Remain… My Power, My Pleasure, My Pain

*** I received this as an ARC in exchange for an honest. ***

Warning:::: This book has multiple triggers for many because it has plenty of violence. DO NOT read if this is not your thing.

I really wanted to read this book as soon as I seen this was available on the multi author page because I had never read anything like it before. I was really interested in reading about a m/m stockholm syndrome story that involved a cop and a villian. Boy, was I in for a treat! This had a little bit of everything for me and I was completely knocked off my chair during certain parts.

I was drawn into this story right away with what happened since Kuon was kidnapped. I couldn’t help it. I had to figure out what would happen between these two. I read this book all in one go. The way the story unfolded was brilliant because I was right along with the characters. I felt what Kuon was feeling. I was so emotional while reading this. I pretty much cried most of the time reading this because it was so dark. But, what did I expect when I enter into a dark world? Well you bring the damn tissues, that’s what you do.

I feel like this was wrote beautifully, but I have a love and hate relationship with the story. I wish it would have ended differently but when your in a dark world and you don’t know certain things you normally would in the regular world… you make decisions based on what you think you know. You make decisions off of the temporary pain that you have and make it a permanent solution. Yugo and Kuon kill each other softly throughout the whole book. This is a twisted romance and not everything is as it seems.

I would love to find out more in the next book because I know that the story isn’t over. This may be a dark world that these characters live in, but some of them are more shady than others and I want to figure out their motives. I am also wondering what Yugo will do when he finds out what they have done as well. Betraying him is not something I would want to do.

but coming home to her empty London flat after another miserable day at work, she finds she is being haunted by a pair of eyes.

Is she delusional, or is time the delusion?
Falling for a time traveler comes with plenty of surprises and a good deal of danger.

Tancred Nine is an adventure in himself, a man of startlingly strange ideas and beliefs mixed with humor and excitement. But he comes from a time where playing with genetics has gone horribly wrong.

Travelling through time tunnels can be a risky business,
which door should you take, which need to be avoided at all costs?

Follow Mercy as she abandons her timid and tedious life for the love of adventure and the most delusional creature of all.
Can Mercy help save the future of humanity, or will she lose herself in time?

Gotta Get Back In Time

*** I was given this ARC in exchange for an honest review. ***

I thought that this book would be really interesting because I normally have like time travel books in the past. Plus this one has new ideas that involve altering genetics and strange creatures. Some you can see that look hideous, but some are invisible.

Although this book was so overwhelming with new ideas and information that every single page was just information dump after information dump. I felt confused and completely lost most of the time. Plus Tancred, the traveler talked in circles most of the time in his own language from the “future” which didn’t really make much sense to me or Mercy which was the girl from the past.

So I kind of felt like I was in a boat without paddles in the middle of a body of water. It was an unpleasant feeling to say the least. I guess I was just mainly disappointed because I know that this book could have been so great if it wouldn’t have jumped all over the place so much and if things were explained more. So maybe I wouldn’t be a flailing fish? I don’t know.

If the ideas would have been more spread out too this would have improved the book too and explained in extreme depth. We the readers cannot guess at these complicated things of your brilliant mind. At least not yet, we need some more background information, please.

I really did enjoy the part about the dinosaurs though. I thought that part was interesting and how they went to sites to dig them up. That was fascinating and also when they went back to see them. The descriptions of them was almost like I could see them and I really enjoyed that! So that was the only time I really enjoyed the vivid details in this book where I didn’t want to put the book down.

This just really wasn’t the type of book for me to read. Apparently, not all time travel books are for me.

You Like The Idea Of Her, But Rip Away The Skin…

*** I was given this ARC, in exchange for an honest review.***

I was really excited to read this book because it is so different from other books I have read about reapers. First of all, she is a reaper for a vampire warlord on a hidden island instead of a reaper for death like every other book out there. So I wanted to know why she was a reaper for him instead and what made HER, so special. Ya know?

So that was the first thing that made me want to read it, but then apparently she was dead before and lived another life, then was turned into a reaper. Someone from her life before she was a reaper shows up in her bushes on her property… DEAD.

Now the FBI think she is the murderer. Is she? I had to know.

Once I started reading Rain Dance, the action started right away! Eden was collecting souls and then all of the sudden someone was trying to kill her. I am happy to say that the rest of the book is like that, with many, many twists. These twists were very clever too, I might add. There were some impressive parts to this book. I loved it.

There was a lot of commotion going on and many things are revealed and I really enjoyed them. It was very creative and imaginative. I really loved and adored how different and kickass this book was.

One of the things that was awesome was the talking cat. YES! You really did just read that and his name is Kahn and he is such sassy fun. He made me laugh with his, “stupid humans” comments here and there. PRICELESS. He’s a smarty too. He makes the book that much better. Ugh I just love that little guy ! ❤

I loved how sassy and rebellious Eden is in this book. She really needed to be on her toes with all the disasters going on around her and she was. The poor thing didn’t know who she could trust, but that didn’t stop her. She had a lot of depth that showed piece by piece throughout the book. It showed that she wasn’t a heartless reaper. Although, there is more to her than just what was shown. I know there is and I want it all.

Same with the other characters. There was a great amount of detail given, but there is still vital information needed about each character that adds to the story. It also adds to who they are as a character and this story was particularly was missing that so it lost a star.

I am hoping that these details will be revealed in the second book, Heat Wave (Sunshine & Scythes Book 2). I can’t wait to get my hands on it! It comes out February 1, so we have a bit to wait. I think anyone who doesn’t pick this book up would sadly miss out on an incredible view of reapers and the supernatural world. So don’t be one of THOSE PEOPLE.

Rumor Has It

*** I voluntary reviewed this ARC, in exchange for an honest review. ***

I was excited about this book because it sounded sooo great! Who wouldn’t want to read about a supposed fictional character that is immortal and possibly involved with the bible? I was drawn in with that blurb right away. Then I started reading the book and was  a little confused with why all the detail on architecture.

I mean I love architecture and everything and it’s details, but whaaaa?

Why does the book start like that and go on and on like that for a bit?

Way to confuse a girl.

What the hell.

Plus while describing the architecture of the buildings surrounding the main character, the sentences are a disaster. I mean that there are fragmented sentences and/or run-on sentences like I have never seen. Things are listed and there are commas of course, but then more things are listed and more commas.

I feel like this needs to be edited more and I also feel awful for saying so because this was an interesting book.

It just needs help.

Okay, so now the good part of the review! Woohoo! So as you go on with the story, it does get much better and more interesting. There are some twists that are thrown in too that some may be able to guess and some not.

Overall I enjoyed this and thought it was fascinating, but I was not in agreement with the main character Tom towards the end.

I feel like he was manipulated and saddened by what happened in and around his life.

So I wish that it had not ended like that.

You’ll just have to see what I mean by reading it.

Murder Was The Case

*** I was given this ARC, in exchange for an honest review. ***

I knew that as soon as I read the blurb, I had to get this book from the Hidden Gems website. How could I not, when someone is killing the main character’s friends off one by one? In different, horrible gruesome ways. The whole time the killer evades the police and when they are done killing each victim… they post the pictures of that victim onto social media as that person’s profile picture. This all included seven friends called the “Magnificent 7” because of their friendship… among other things.

There were so many layers to this story that I was extremely impressed with how the story was woven with such intricate detail. The twists in here were KILLER too ! I just loved how reading Friends List was like watching a movie in fascinating horror as it all goes on with all the action. You GUYS! It was like, you never knew how the next person was going to get offed, until they did. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and I would have totally been biting my nails, if I was a nailbiter.

I was rooting for certain people not to get killed and was surprised with what happened and damn. This was one intense book. Some of the things that occured, I predicted, but others I was like, whoa now, wait now, what? HUH?! Oh dear.

No one can be trusted, okay? And nothing is as it seems. That is all I am saying at this point. For Real.

As soon as I heard about this book I wanted to read it, I just didn’t get the chance to buy it until this last christmas. I didn’t start to read it until this month and I don’t understand what the hell took me so long to pick it up! The story is gripping and peculiar as soon as you start it and you don’t want to set it down even for a moment. Not even to go eat something, I would just sit there for hours and read it fascinated with Rachel and how she was trying to figure out things. I was trying to fill in the gaps with her.

Each place you are taken within this book is dark, chilling and sinister. You really don’t see it coming. When you’re reading The Girl On The Train, you can’t really be sure who is completely innocent and that is thrilling in itself. You kind of wonder what each character has done and you don’t really know until the end of the book. Honestly, some of the characters are more of a mystery than anything so you just kind of wonder about them in the end.

This book just reminds me when something horrifying happens and it’s gory but you just can’t look away. You just can’t help yourself and stare at the scene. That’s how the book is. It’s darkly addictive and it’ll have you obsessing over it, especially from the betrayals that come close to home. Not everything is as it seems… or is it?

So have any of you read this? What did you think? Did you see the movie? I actually saw the movie before I was able to get the book. Let’s chat!
